The nose is gentle but starts with charred oak, vanilla, fruity rye spice and a bit of citrus. Sweeter notes of brown sugar in molasses are faint in the background, but definitely there. This comes across as very cake-like and very inviting to take a sip of. The palate is gentle, smooth and like a cloud of flavor. You are greeted with charred oak, sweet vanilla and floral rye spice. Is very easy to drink, hitting all of her usual Buffalo Trace notes but with a bit more emphasis on the vanilla. The finish is surprisingly long with a tingling pepperiness, as charred oak takes its time to fade.
