Review #245 Received a sample from a friend. Glass: Glencairn, rested 15 minutes. Color: Dark amber. Very promising. Nose: Root beer with apple and dark fruit notes. Palate: Thick mouthfeel with cinnamon, baking spice, and some oak tannins. Finish: Medium length with medium heat. Splash: No new flavors are revealed. Overall: 7/10 - The color and nose got my hopes up. This is good bourbon from a craft distillery, but it doesn't do anything to distinguish itself from other good bourbon from other craft distilleries. I'm interested to try other espressions from Bully Boy in the future.

Nose smells like the glass is full of dry wheat or barley. Super strong, quite nice. Flavor is a huge hit of the nose, dry wheat to the point of bitterness. Earthy, woody, medium thin body, like chewing on a wheat field. Much better than their American whiskey, but a little off balance to be super enjoyable.
