A delicate, Provenance bottling of 9-year-old single malt from the Bunnahabhain distillery on the north-east coast of Islay. This was distilled in October 2007 and aged in a refill hogshead until February 2017, then bottled by Douglas Laing with a small outturn of 312 bottles. It has a delicate birth with notes of cinnamon biscuits topped with chocolate, fresh peach & a hint of blackberry jam; while a rich life adds notes of dried oak, barley & caramelized fruit; that led to a balanced death of medium length with notes of Golden Delicious apples, honey & clove.
