Cachaça is made by a cooperative of producers located in the Abaíra region, in the state of Bahia. Abaíra Cachaça has been produced by farmers in the Abaíra Microregion for over 200 years. Nationally recognized as a Brazilian cachaça IP (geographical indication of cachaça registered with the government agency), Cachaça Abaíra Ouro is aged in wood and has a golden color, woody and sweet aromas, and a smooth taste with integrated alcohol that does not appear to have 42%. This Cachaça is aged in European oak barrels for three years, and this aging process gives the spirit a yellowish visual appearance. Source: Cachaçaria Nacional.
