Cachaçaria Capueira arose from a family dream of producing Cachaça in the state of Goiás in an artisanal and quality way. The desire to make this dream come true was strengthened on the farm, where today cachaça is produced. The name of the cachaça is a tribute to the patriarch of the family who had the nickname “Tião Capueira”.Minimum aging: 3 years in single-wood barrels. Freijó cachaça is aged in single-wood barrels, revealing the full tropical flavor of Brazil, as it is a natural wood from the Amazon rainforest. With a slightly bitter flavor and woody aroma, it has smooth notes, providing a unique flavor to the palate. Interestingly, Brazilian Freijó wood is used by most Brazilian cachaça producers to avoid adding color or notes to the cachaça, and is therefore considered, along with Jequitibá and Amendoim, a neutral wood. Capueira cachaça has removed this neutrality from Freijó, and the wood is prominent in their distillate. Source: Cachaça Capueira website.
