Cachaça da Quinta is produced at Fazenda da Quinta, in the municipality of Carmo, in the mountainous region of Rio de Janeiro. In 1923, the farm was acquired by Francisco Lourenço Alves, a Portuguese immigrant who introduced a series of precautions into the production process of the existing Cachaça da Quinta. His son José Ramos Alves continued to improve the drink, maintaining the original production technique and the specialty of the fermentation process. Years later, he passed on the property and all the details of the Artisanal Cachaças to his daughter, Katia Alves Espírito Santo, who designed and carried out extensive renovations of the factory, the brand's visual identity and packaging, and the product line, bringing them to the highest international quality standards. In 2009, Fazenda da Quinta began exporting its products to demanding markets, such as the United States, Taiwan, England, and France. Cachaça da Quinta Carvalho is a drink stored for one year in oak barrels. Light, with an alcohol content of 40%. On the nose, it is fine, intense and persistent. It presents notes of fruit, spices, wood and caramel. On the palate, it is light, balanced and smooth. It leaves a dry mouth, with hints of oak and ripe fruits. Source Cachaçaria Nacional website
