Engenho Dom Tápparo was created on the initiative of Mr. José Tápparo, who in 1978 decided to produce cachaça for his own consumption and as a gift to friends. The drink was so successful that connoisseurs started wanting to buy it. It was then that he saw a business opportunity in this activity. Over the years, and the entry of the sons Ademílson and Carlos in the company, the mill grew and began to produce various types of cachaça, alcoholic cocktails and liqueurs. Today, the company has the collaboration of the third generation of the Tápparo family: Bruno, Giovanni, Breno, Marcus, Fernando and Carla. All cachaça production takes place on the family property, from planting the sugar cane to grinding and distillation. Aging is done in European and American oak barrels, as well as other woods such as amburana and peanut. Cachaça Dom Tápparo Premium 3 years European Oak has an alcohol content of 38%. Distilled aged for 3 years in European Oak barrels. Caramel yellow cachaça, with a agreeable taste, with low acidity, being a very smooth cachaça to drink. With sweet notes of vanilla, dried fruits and also bringing in the aftertaste the delicious oak aroma. Source: Cachaçaria Nacional and Cachaças Brasileiras.
