Born in the Jequitinhonha Valley, the creator and founder of Cachaça Vitalina, Carlos Murta, grew up in the region that became known for the production of excellent quality cachaças. A lover of drinks, he moved to Belo Horizonte in the 1970s and took with him the desire to one day produce his own distillate. In 1990, he realized his dream when he found a “blessed piece of land” in Jaboticatubas, in the Metropolitan Region of BH. A privileged piece of land, protected by a riparian forest, and forming a true island, flanked by the waters of the Cipó River. Cachaça Vitalina has been produced in Serra do Cipó since 2008, amidst the most beautiful mountains in Minas. Made by hand, but with a high quality standard, it is completely organic and certified by the National Association of Quality Cachaça Producers (Anpaq). Cachaça Vitalina Reserva Especial 7 Years Oak 750ml is aged for seven years in oak barrels, a process that gives it a more intense sweetness, predominantly from the wood. The lightness and flavor are enhanced. Robust, it has an alcohol content of 42%. Source: Cachaçaria Nacional
