Released for the 2017 Islay Festival, this bottling is a 12 Year single malt which finishes its maturation in Amoroso sherry casks. These sherry casks are typically used for Talisker's Distillers Edition releases with Caol Ila's versions typically using Moscatel wine to finish their product. 1500 bottles were produced.

The third Feis Ile sample of the evening has a beautiful caramel nose, like a Talenti ice cream. It's easy to drink neat, but a few drops of water brings out the peat. The finish is a long swirl of peat and honey. I'd mark this 4.5/5, making it my joint second favorite of the eight.
Very similar to usual Distillers Edition. Therefore a good dram if a little overpriced.
