The Distillers Edition is an annual limited edition series from Diageo featuring select single malt Scotch whisky distilleries in their portfolio. Each release is double matured (finished) in a selected cask. For Caol Ila, casks which held Moscatel sherry --a sweet, fortified dessert wine -- are used. Distilled in 2008, this release was bottled in 2020 at 86 proof.

Nose: Light citrus, hint of smoke Palate: Fresh, fruity flavours - citrus and white grape. Light peat smoke Finish: Soft smoke, slight pepper prickliness The moscatel influence is very subtle, this just tastes slightly fruitier than the 12 Year Old Caol Ila (which I really enjoy). 7.5/10
Nice peated whiskey. Wish be little less waterly.....
