Nose: not a whole lot going on unless you get close. For MGP sourced juice I was expected a little more. Definitely can tell this is heavy in rye notes. Everything falls a bit flat at the end. Decent but there are many better barrel proofs for the price.
Cardinal Spirits Barrel Proof Single Barrel Bourbon (36% Rye)
About this bottle
This single barrel bourbon is made with a mash bill using regional grain: 60% corn, 36% rye, and 4% malted barley. (Note: There's a separate green labeled expression made using a 75% corn, 21% rye, and 4% malted barley mash bill). It is aged for at least 5 years in new, charred American oak and bottled at cask strength, which varies by bottling (typically around 119 proof).

I like it. I’m awful at tasting notes, so there’s that. It’s not to complex, but doesn’t lack in flavor. Possibly a lot of leather tobacco, fairly long finish, decent heat at 116.4 proof.
Party source barrel pick. Aroma is vanilla extract, and oak. Lovely. Flavor is oddly with a lovely vanilla flavor. Fairly complex with perhaps floral hints.
Cinnamon front with a rye and sweet finish. Nose is not desirable, but taste is better.
Spice up front with a nice sweet finish.
Rye forward, oak finish.
