Had this at my cousin’s new restaurant per his recommendation felt it was ok at best. Had some nice floral and barrel aging notes of caramel, cinnamon, pepper, vanilla, and pineapples alongside faint notes of cooked agave but feel it is overpowered by cake batter and other additives hiding bitter notes.
About this bottle
Casa Dragones Barrel Blend is an añejo tequila using 100% Blue Weber agave from the Tequila Valley. The tequila brand uses two types of custom-made toasted oak barrels to age the tequila — new French oak and new American oak barrels. After aging in each respective barrel type, the tequila is blended and bottled in a smoked grey glass bottle at 80 proof.

Nose is imteresting—grassy with hay, agave, and some mint; not as flavorful as i feel it should be for the price—vegetal and grassy with plenty of oak, some agave, and a little vanilla; fairly dry; nuce thick texture; mild heat; quick finish with some agave and oak; good, but not worth the cost ($150)
Super smooth with spice up front, light floral notes and just enough edge to feel it. Pretty darn good but not as full or round a flavor as I would expect at this price point.
Tequila is one of my least favorite spirits however I decided to try this off of a recommendation. I’m very happy I did because it is extremely good.
Lovely and smooth, notes of soft corn and oak. Very little burn and nose
Best Anejo Tequila I have hver had. SMOOTH.. Easy sipper, great flavor.
