Aroma is that warm, familiar, GD profile, but lighter than the GD we know and love – though it’s not weak and carries a sweet fruitiness with a distinct warmth making it fun and easy; Palate is also a bit lighter and fruitier than, say, the George Dickel 12 – but again it’s not weak and carries a nice, moderately complex, profile of fruit and grain sweetness; Finish is a semi-quick brushing of the palate and the only place oak really makes itself known.

Definitely still has the unique Tennessee whisky taste and flavor. Initially, I was not quite certain it was what i was hoping for and expecting. However, like I read in some of the editorials, with each sip it got better and better. In my opinion it packed a slight heat in the beginning but truly was a smooth at the end of the finish. I will continue to review with each pour.
