Received as a gift. Nursed it for several months given the high abv. Only really enjoyed the last third actually as was quite hot even with a couple small ice cubes, but magically the flavour opened up after being open and slowly emptied over the first 5-6 months. Unsure I’ll purchase for myself, maybe if on sale!
112 proof Nose is corn and sweet apples. Palate is more corn and sweet ginger. The immature of this bourbon shows up on the palate and the back end with some harshish barrel notes. The finish is long and pleasant. Overall this is a pretty solid bourbon if a bit young.
It is hard to say what this tastes like as the burn is very strong. Having this neat ia out of the question. I put a few cubes in and the burn, obviously, wasn’t as strong. There are other bottles that you should try prior to this one.
Good. Not as much heat as I would have expected, easy to sip neat. It does not really stand out as good or bad, but for the proof is pleasant and a value play.
Tons of oak, cinnamon, cocoa. Enjoyed this for how cheap it was
