About this bottle

Catoctin Creek continues their collaboration with GWAR with the limited edition 2023 release which marks ten years since the passing of the band's front man Oderus Urungus. The 100% rye whiskey continues to be aged with white oak, sugar maple, and cherrywood but for this release there is a rum-finished barrel added as well. There's up to 200 cases available nationwide beginning August 1, 2023. (SRP $99)

Capsule review from Virginia Spirits Expo: Who knew that heavy metal could be this sugary sweet? This year's collaboration with heavy metal band GWAR has a nutty nose but after that, it's a very sweet palate with a short finish that is mostly sweet but has a hint of rye. All that sugar maple and rum finish makes this one a sweet sipper.
