Released in celebration of the distillery's 35th anniversary, this whiskey is made from a blend of aged whiskeys ranging in age from 3-7 years old. All whiskeys were double Alambic pot distilled from bottle-ready beer, two of which were custom-brewed beers made for Charbay by Bear Republic. The ratio of the blend is: 50% 3 year-old single malt, 30% 7 year-old aged stout whiskey, 20% 3 year-old aged pilsner whiskey. French and American oak were used for maturation. There were 660 cases produced of Lot No. 1. Available beginning spring 2018.

Lots of sherry/raisons on the nose. Reminds me of a more toned back version of westlands sherry barrel whiskey. The difference being here that this whiskey is a bit more smooth, less sweet, and generally palate-able. Nicely rich and butterscotchy.
2025.08.27 강석종 캘리포니아의 위스키. 독특하게 맥주를 먼저 만들고 맥주 자체를 증류했다고 한다. 게다가 맥주는 세 종류나 섞었다고. 처음 마시고는 위스키라는 생각이 들지 않았다. 오히려 깔바도스나 꼬냑 같은 느낌. 기존의 위스키와 아예 결이 다르다. 아주 특이한 위스키.
