I got lucky and found this at my local liquor store. It wasn’t MSRP ($50ish) and was $65. I jumped to get it anyway as I’ve never seen it here in Texas. I’ve had their rye, 111, and always heard amazing things about their BIB. Let’s jump in. The nose is delightful. Has a toasted marshmallow flavor with caramel and coffee. It makes you keep going back to the nose over and over. The palate just keeps the excitement going. It was like drinking chocolate with a rich and a creamy mouthfeel. Almost shocked me how flavorful it was. The finish is sooooo long. The chocolate flavor continues with some spices, a little coffee and keeps going and going. This is an incredible bottle. If I see this anywhere, I’ll be picking it up. I suggest you do the same!

Tasted at the experimental distillery in Chattanooga, TN. dark amber in color, medium number of slow forming legs. Nose is green apple, burnt sugar, vanilla frosting, semi sweet hay and the ever-present maltiness that's the flagship of this distillery. Thin and warm on the palate, this one really carries a wallop of caramel, with malted barley, buttered toast and coconut. The finish is long and nuanced. It's excellent.
I didn't get to taste Chattanooga Whiskey's BIB 2017 edition, but I can't imagine it being much better than this. On the nose I'm getting toasty butterscotch and vanilla, with a hint of cinnamon and orange. The flavor for me is really complex with woody sweetness, cherries, and citrus. Overall, it's very smooth with a velvety feel on the tongue and an aftertaste of oak and lime. I absolutely love it!!
Aroma - cocoa powder, cinnamon, touch of floral notes, dark fruits (raisins, plums), picking up a slight vanilla frosting as well. Nice complexity here and nicely balanced. Taste - vanilla cola, some earthy notes here, slight hint of apple and smoke. Very interesting pour. Medium finish. Overall - I’m a huge fan of what these guys are doing. Another very good offering and priced accordingly.
Grabbed a bottle on a recent trip to Chattanooga. Didn’t really know what to expect but was pleasantly surprised. Not super complex but very easy to drink. Right down the middle of the fairway…noting too exciting but nothing that turns you off either. First taste, so looking forward to a follow up.
Pleasant scent on nose that smells sweet like vanilla, cinnamon, and oak. Good bite that doesn’t last forever… relief comes quick from the vanilla and sweet flavors. Really drinkable… could see this as a solid nightcap (or 4 neat) Great buy.
