Not the most complex bourbon in the world, but it's an easy sipper. I wouldn't buy it again for the price I paid. I purchased during a Total Wine promotion after I was told it was a poor man's Eagle Rare. Ha! Nose is vanilla, with a bit of pencil shavings. Palate provides light caramel, transitioning to spice. Finish is fairly long with diminishing spice. Mouthfeel is lightly oily. I'm not sure where this fits. It's not complex enough for a good neat dram, but too expensive for mixing (well one could use it as a mixer, but there are better mixers that are a lot cheaper). Bottle label says "From Barton 1792," but also "Distilled, aged and bottled by the Clear Springs Distiing Co., Louisville, KY," ...so???

Cinnamon (red hots maybe), peanut, vanilla, honey, marshmallow, cherry nose. Similar to Smoke Wagon Small Batch. Little hotter than the proof would have you believe. Good juice. I use the rating scale below. Distiller uses a scale of 5 and I use a scale of 10, but I’m sure you’re not too drunk to do the math! 1. Disgusting - So bad I poured it out. 2. Poor - I wouldn't consume by choice. 3. Bad - Multiple flaws. 4. Below average - Not bad, but many things I'd rather have. 5. Good - Just average. 6. Very Good - Better than average. 7. Great - Well above average. 8. Excellent - In a league of its own. 9. Incredible - An all-time favorite. 10. Perfect

An intense, Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey from Clear Springs Distillery in Kentucky made with iron-free limestone water along with corn, rye & malted barley. It has a rich birth with notes of caramel & banana; while a complex life adds notes of oak, spice & clove; that led to an elegant & smooth death. Nose- loads of cherry, chewy caramels, Taste- cherry medicine, wood funk, slight nuttiness and creamy vanilla Finish- light, cherry vanilla and spice lingers for a sec This is a pleasant pour but definitely overpriced. Classic bourbon notes and cherry flavors that remind me of BT. But all in all, a nice option at 90 proof

Fruity, warm nose. Very easy, mild burn in the mouth. Thick, warm consistency. Goes down like water. Fruity notes come back on the finish. Hints of vanilla, caramel, butterscotch. Definitely can compete with 85-100 dollar range qhiskeys for mich less. Better than Blanton's

This is essentially 1792 rebranded. I'm not reviewing this because trying this next to 1792 BIB and 1792 Small batch it was like drinking the whiskey out of 3 differently labeled bottles and the CF is overpriced for what it is.
