Managed to pick up two bottles at a local grocer in New Orleans. A rare find these days. Rains about $65 for each. Well worth it. This is unlike any whiskey you'll likely try. Saying it has a lot of character is an understatement. 100% rye and 21 years aged, makes this a flavorful combo of a punch in the face from wood followed by the spicy rye notes. Definitely a (good) funky dram.

I was lucky enough to find some of this rarity for 49.00.. I've only tasted it once and haven't had a lot of rye. I can say it's less harsh than bullet rye. I first smelt sweetness and spice. Added some water ,not much and it drinks smoothly. Smoothness may be due to the lower proof alcohol. Can't wait to try a old fashioned with It.

Rare find from local auction. First, it tastes like the lot 40 cask strength 11 year old that I love, right away, tropical fruit like guava to my nose! Sip, yes, guava! then a gummy taste follows right after. It’s very special! Finish is not too long, but good. Over all, one of my favourites.

I didn't realize this was a rare whiskey, but I knew it was a great one when I tasted it. Unfortunately, I didn't take any notes when I tasted it, but it reminded me of soothing porridge made with rice grains tossed in sesame seed oil that my grandma used to make for me when I was sick.

The tannic watery start is fondly remembered once the sour sock finish makes you gag. You should be offended if someone brings this to your house to "try".

Finally drank this on christmas eve, matched the occasion well. Spicy and lots of character
