Idk why I can't find E. H. Taylor Small Batch on here, but that's what I'm tasting... 👃 Churning butter poured over a bed of cinnamon sticks which had been infused with maple syrup and then poured over some thick pancakes with a cherry on top 👄 Not as impressive as the nose, but there's still some cherry infused butter there. Maybe a bit of leather. Only 100 proof, but I've had 90 proof whiskeys that drink substantially hotter. 🏁 Wow. Just wow. One of the best finishes I've experienced. Crazy smooth, no burn, just the sweet notes from the nose with a little caramel oakiness thrown in there

About this bottle
This limited edition expression was produced at Buffalo Trace Distillery in homage to Edmund Haynes Taylor, Jr., one of the brand's original distillers, who in the 1800s used a technique in which the bourbon mash was left to sour over a few days prior to distillation. This modern recreation is made in a similar technique. It was distilled in 2002 according to Bottled-in-Bond standards and released in limited quantities in 2012. It is bottled at 100 proof.
