You get that nice whiskey spice on the nose, but when you sip it, it's unexpectedly super smooth at first until you swallow it or allow it to warm up on the tongue for a bit and then that mild burn says "hellllooo, is it me you're looking for?"

About this bottle
Announced on March 3, 2021, this is a commemorative edition bottling marking the 124th anniversary of the passing of the Bottled in Bond Act in 1897. This consumer protection act which guaranteed the integrity of whiskeys bearing its label was championed by Col. Edmund Haynes Taylor, Jr. This single barrel was distilled at Buffalo Trace and barreled on January 5, 2012 and bottled in early February 2021. This release will not be available at retail, but will be available only through musician Chris Stapleton's charitable fund Outlaw State of Kind. Initial bottles will be auctioned to raise funds for disaster relief in Texas and Eastern Kentucky which suffered recent extreme weather events. The remaining bottles will be used throughout the year to raise funds for a variety of charities across the country.

Beautiful BIB, drank at Libby’s in Covington. Great food, and a phenomenal EHT pour.
A little hotter than I expected for only 100 Proof.
