Scents of honey, chocolate. Flavors of cinnamon and rubber. The rubber flavor for me is always a sign a whiskey has been bottled too early. This is a 84 proof American single malt picked up at the distillery. The distiller won't divulge the age of this American scotch. By the taste I'd guess it's aged for 12 months. Like so many young distilleries, they have bottled too soon. That being said, it has promise with some additional aging. I look forward to them letting it age longer and producing something with an age statement in 6-8 years.
