Signature Wine & Spirits store pick 8 years old, 120.4 proof Glass: Glencairn, rested 15 minutes. Color: Medium-dark amber. Nose: Vanilla, dark fruit, a mild clove note. Palate: Cinnamon, baking spice, clove. Finish: Surprisingly long and hot. Splash: No new flavors are revealed. Overall: 9/10 - For MGP distillate with a 75/21/4 mashbill, I had certain expectations. At $60 (including $5 to the dog charity) this absolutely exceeded them. Ths deserves a place in a $60 blind tasting with some of the heavy hitters in that price range.
