As a former heavy craft beer drinker I really enjoyed this brandy aged in ex-Dark Lord barrels. You definitely get the chocolate and coffee notes in the brandy and it really helped cool the burn from the alcohol. Pretty nice stuff and an interesting experiment by C&K
About this bottle
The Cr&ftwerk series from Copper & Kings showcases their brandy aged for 12 months in barrels previously used to age beer from four different breweries. The idea was for the American craft distiller to draw some inspiration, along with distinctive flavor profiles, from prominent American craft brewers. This expression was aged in casks which held 3 Floyds' Dark Lord, a Russian Imperial Stout.

Fun expression for Copper and Kings, this one tastes just as the notes say, the 110 proof definitely puts out a bit of burn on the finish. An interesting brandy for your collection if you can find it.
