About this bottle
Courvoisier Avant-Garde Bourbon Cask Edition is a limited edition release from the brand and the first in the Avant-Garde series. The blend was created by master blender Patrice Pinet and master distiller Benoît DeSutter. They began by selecting VS cognac and then finished its maturation in former Kentucky bourbon barrels. As cognac regulations limit used barrels to wine or fortified wine, this spirit is not allowed to be called cognac. Bottled at 80 proof.
