Color: Chestnut / Tawny Nose: Cherry | Oak | Vanilla A delightfully fragrant nose that is incredibly inviting and well-rounded. No hints of ethanol but subtle sweetness. One of the better “noses” I have experienced that continues to develop over time. Palate: Medium-light mouth fell. Caramel and vanilla notes come through very quickly and overwhelm the background sweetness and oak sensed on the nose. A slow ethanol burn rises but never overpowers the palate. Finish: The heat towards the end of the palate fades out leaving you with a lingering finish of vanilla, caramel, and oak that slightly dries out your mouth. Almost slightly bitter due to the astringent effect. This is less present as the bourbon opens and likely even more so with a little water or a cube of ice.

Bananas and vanilla on the nose with more of the same and oak on the palate. The finish is long and a tingle and burn finishes with toffee and hard candy. The value is subjective, very expensive even retail. Still good enough for me to buy again.
Jims great four roses at 12.3 yr! Nose: too windy to get much Palette: so smooth, fruity, soke sweetness, graham cracker, i’d say an OE boend. Caramel and cinnamon, long finish with a hint of spice. Excellent. Subtle vanilla comes in.
