It’s hot and it’s complex. This ones 116 proof. Dutch apple pie, vanilla cream, sharp oak, sweetness and dustiness from the corn. Pretty clingy and full mouthfeel. Finish is a tad bitter, perhaps due to the proof and the oak char smoke. It’s a ride, for sure.

I have the privilege of owning the 1962 version Eleanor. Nose is sweet saw and corn dust with a smooth spice. Palette continues on the corn route with a caramel nuttiness. Higher proof than most but definitely smoother than expected.
