An intriguing nose of peaches and jasmine. Rich flavors of shortbread, ginger, lemon and a glimpse of peach in the mouth. Lots of oak spice on the finish. Very nice, but dare I say a little boring? I think what the entire special releases range appears to lack is much in the way of mouthfeel. There are none of the lovely, unctuous oils I am enjoying in the tastiest bottles I have open from Springbank, Kilkerran or Clynelish. An unfair comparison perhaps, but for me at least the difference between special and spectacular.

nose is mild and sweet. Palate grows and the finish is smoky and peat. Such a nice finish, peatty but not Ardbeg. 2nd dram: mild toffee/green apple/chocolate nose, spiced palate hard to guess what, sweet smooth finish that lingers but not unpleasant. Lots to like in the finish, citrus fruit, cinnamon. I feel like the finish is where this drink is at, where it can really be enjoyed.
Nose: 4.25/5 rubber, dried leaves, floral, jasmine Palate: 3.75/5 umami, dark chocolate Finish: 4/5 sweet Adding water gives a lot more floral notes and chalk
Pricey but very good. Peppery and fruity, sweet nose, mild palate and peppery finish. Is it worth it? Not quite in my opinion.
Very very smooth taste and finish
