Interesting. Rich. Smooth. Not particularly complex or compelling, though. Complexity cannot be expected in the same way out of this whiskey since it has had nearly zero time in the cask. Simplicity has a value, too.

Dark Horse Distillery opened in 2010 with Rider Vodka, Reunion Rye, Reserve Bourbon and of course Long Shot white whiskey. The Lenexa (Kansas City, KS) based company is family-owned and run in a 20,000 sq ft location that also doubles as an event space.
