An intense, French herbal aperitif crafted with Vietnamese baby ginger & cognac. It has an aromatic birth with notes of herbs & fruits, while a rich & creamy life adds notes of brandied ginger; that led to a long & warm death. November 2016 / September 2017 / April 2018
Operation: rate the cocktail ingredients continues. Really nice ginger bite, although I’d characterize it as definitively dried/ground, rather than fresh. Think ginger snaps instead of stir fry. Might be making that up. Medium-high sweetness, very thick body.
Sweet, lightly floral nose, with a good ginger bite. Viscous, hangs around in a glass and holds its own in a cocktail. Quality liqueur. Perfect for adding character to whatever you're drinking. Well... almost.
Smells of ginger, citrus peel, unaged brandy. Thick on the palate; vanilla, ginger, orange; sweet with very little spice from the ginger. Finishes with a minimal amount of heat.
Sweet, honeyed ginger notes with a good amount of spice. Tastes like ginger snaps. Very rich. Fairly syrupy mouthfeel. Wonderful for cocktails.
