It's very different from any other bourbon I've had. I tried it neat first and then moved it to a large sphere and let it sit for a bit. First, I could get the spice in the mouth but no burn going down. Definitely some vanilla wafer taste upfront, followed by a stone fruit taste on the end. This is the first non flavored whiskey I've had that actually tastes this much like apricot on the end. I don't get it from the smell, but the first taste I took made me say "Wow" because of the stone fruit finish. The large sphere immediately cut the spice and brought out more of the stone fruit and wafer taste. Overall, it's not my typical bourbon choice, however I find it very enjoyable and will be one I share with friends as a "Hey, this is different, you need to try this", and will be one I reserve for when I want something different. This price isn't horrible, but it's definitely more than I pay for a typical daily drinker. I wouldn't pay more than that, but it's a good price for what it is. The bottle is definitely a conversation piece and will be one I keep when it's finished! I want to find a way to keep it out on display. I am working on arranging my home office and would like to have some shelves to display cool bottles like this.

On the nose nothing jumps forward other than some soft berry flavors. Tasting brings flavors unlike anything else I’ve ever had. Tons of rich berry and grape flavors with stone fruit also coming to mind. Fruit flavors give way to a slight spice and a shorter finish. It’s a thinner whiskey that’s almost a little too easy to drink but if you like lots of fruit or new and unique flavor profiles, this is the one for you. It’s truly unlike anything I’ve ever had. Great looking bottle too.
It’s like vanilla cream over fresh berries. Surprisingly rich for the lower ABV. Tastes like a bourbon that costs over $60 but only paid $45. Especially with the 5 year age statement. I’ve seen way too many MGP sourced whiskies that cost way more that are only 3 years old or less. Great daily drinker.
I recived this as a gift & the bottle is really cool! That alone almost makes this worth a buy. The bourbon itself is fine. It tastes somewhat fruity to me, but has a pretty harsh finish. I’m glad ti have this in my collection, but it is probably not a daily drinker fot me.
Starts with sharp rye note mellows to sweet fruity carmel notes. Hint of the beer barrel in the middle of the pallet with a warm spice finish. Overall a bit more complex and is a good sipper with a bit of spice. Good choice for a moderate price whiskey.
Has the typical beer barrel flavor of the others in their line, maybe a little less so. There's spice notes with citrus, some floral or grassy notes. Caramel can be picked out as well. There's quite a bit going on and is unique.
