Drillaud Crème de Violette

The bad reviews on Total Wines is accurate. The violet color is light unless you pour a lot. It has a strong floral smell but comes off as soapy. The taste at the beginning is pleasant, light floral, and sweet. But the aftertaste just ruins it. It does taste like what I’d imagine soap on my tongue would taste like.

A floral liqueur from Burgundy, France crafted with violets. It has a delicate floral birth while a mellow life adds notes of violets; that led to a semi-sweet death of medium length. May 2023

Love how light and refreshing this one is in cocktails. Violet flavor is amazing but not overpowering.
