Nose: Deep plum and apple notes. Also a rich hint of butterscotch. Palate: This is a great palate of a caramel apple like you’d get at a fair ground with a citrus twist. Finish: Buttery sweet and smooth. Got a little orange on the tail as well. This one surprised me, I picked this up looking for a new bourbon to try under $50 and this delivers. Lots of fruit and festive notes.

I hesitate to say how good this is because it will likely cause supply issues, but it is excellent. I'm on my 3rd bottle in about 8 weeks time and at $40 locally here in Michigan, I find that a great price point considering how much I enjoy it. I love Eagle Rare when I can get it and I think this is better.
Good stuff. Pretty light initially with a little bit of burn at the end. Pretty good flavor too. Blind tasting with 4 others and this was our top pick over Blantons, Sweet Wheat, Old Forester BiB and others.
Nice nutty, grape and vanilla notes on the nose and creamy palate, but feels a bit young with some astringency and heat. Medium length warming finish with a little grape nuts cereal.
Honey, vanilla, almonds, and wood come together nicely to make for a sweet finish. 92 proof, lingering flavor without the burn.
There a bit of brandy character that ties into the bourbon notes. It’s pleasant, but not an all star.
