Smooth, Intense, not sweet but has a bit of sweetness, just enough, dry but not too dry...just right...Cognac is there somewhere in the taste but not as overpowering as some of the other XO rums..If I had to complain about anything it would be that I wish it was just a little bit more Rich...a tad bit thicker as it feels really thin...a blend of up to 10-18 year old rums From Guatemala...distilled from Molasses then sent to France to mature in Cognac barrels for 6 months....Bottled in France but Aged for 99% of its life in Guatemala...Glass Bottle feels European, like a fine Cognac....I got a great deal at Total Wines and spirits in Westbury NY...on Sale 38.99$.....Everyday price 44.99$......I would not have been mad with this bottle if I payed 75-100$...It’s that good...Neat was excellent and with a cube of ice it went down way to fast...I was buzzed before I looked up to admire the bottle again

A rich Rum from Guatemal distilled from molasses & aged in the tropical Caribbean climate to extract the optimal amount of oak flavor. It opens with notes of vanilla & caramel; while the palate adds notes of cinnamon, cocoa & fruit coming together for a smooth yet complex finish. October 2017 / August / December 2018 / January 2022
I got mine at Total Wine in MD as a hunch. I was very surprised by this rum, as it was a very good sipping rum. The aroma was typical molasses and sugar, but the finish was smooth, which took me by surprise.
I always drink Havana Club 7 (Cuban) as my go to sipping rum since it is so smooth. This rum is smoother tasting and offers no traditional rum “burn”. Enjoy!
Nose of oak, cognac, flowers, molasses, caramelized sugar. Palate sweet, vanilla, caramel, cake, oak, burnt sugar.
* Final: corto * Nariz: Tenue, dulce, azucarado * Boca: Delicado, dulce, melaza, azúcar negra fina
