Flowers 4.5

Extraordinarily good. At 126.2 proof, it is surprisingly smooth. It does get hot if held over time, but not bad compared to other whiskeys of the same proof. The nose gets some classic bourbon flavors, vanilla, caramel, oak, and some spice. The palate is very pleasent, a lot of oak flavors, the aforementioned nose flavors, a bit of butter/cream, and a nice finish of cinnamon. It's like a hybrid between eagle rare and coy hill. If I can find it for srp, I will absolutely pick up another bottle

This release goes back to its traditional ECBP roots which is really nice. Nowhere near the level of legendary C923 so don’t be fooled. For the price.. this one is good but I’m starting to have a harder time pulling the trigger on these releases. I hate to say it, but ever since they dropped the 12 year age statement… quality has really gone down and these have lost its luster.

A nice return to form by Elijah Craig after an unremarkable A batch. Traditional bourbon notes amped up like a good. ECBP should.
