The nose is soft with ripe fruit, touches of oak and hints of brown sugar, dried flowers with a little bit of vanilla, all rounds it out. The palate is pretty typical Elijah Craig, though it has an extra burst of dried flowers, rice spice in touches of fresh fruit giving it a bit of sweetness. In the background, is oak and vanilla, with a hint of brown sugar. It's pretty simple, as is the nature of Elijah craig. But what makes it so nice is how much full flavor you can get in such a simple and inexpensive whiskey. The finish is medium long and chewy with a lingering rice spice, while dried flowers, ripe fruit and vanilla leave you with a wonderful freshness.
