The nose is almost imperceptibly light with a bit of alcohol. From The nose, I could be convinced that this is vodka. The palate is light with a sort of chamomile flavor that frankly isn't bad, but is far from what I expect of a North American whiskey. The alcohol makes it through and the flavor is astoundingly light. A bigger sip reveals a lot more alcohol though. The alcohol and a bit of chamomile with hay are really the only flavors. It doesn't taste awful, but it's sort of the Coors of whiskey with very little going on a super light flavor. The finish is minimal with a tad more bitterness than I'd like, but it's acceptable. This tastes like a mix of some gin and lightly barrel-aged vodka. It's not awful, but those looking for whiskey should look elsewhere. There's a bit of a sickly sweet caramel taste in here that gradually grows. The chamomile fights it somewhat, but it is definitely present. Despite the light color, this is somehow less rich than it appears. Could this be mostly wheat? Right after tasting the Ellington Reserve, the sweetness here becomes more pronounced, like that of a bad aged rum. It doesn't taste as good as it did before. It's funny: now this tastes more like mushroom than the Ellington Reserve does. This is awful. It isn't as good as Ellington Reserve or black velvet.

I had a bottle of Ellington thst i really liked. I wanted to buy it again and the store didn’t have it. I drove out of my way to a different store and they had Ellington, but not the one I previously liked. That was sold out. So I bought this one, but i was very skeptical because it was dirt cheap and the tag at the store said it was great mixed with cola or ginger ale, but didn’t mention sipping on its own. Anyway, it’s not great. Not horrible, mind you. It has some interesting flavors like eucalyptus, anise, and herbal notes… but they are overpowered by the force of alcohol. It is not smooth. Good for the dirt cheap price, but this is some cheap shit. Still, i’ll enjoy it until the bottles gone and I can upgrade. 70/100
The nose was repulsive with neutral grain spirits and nail polish remover, with lemon and cinnamon attempting to save the experience. The palate was also in battle with cherry cough syrup facing maple syrup and wax candy. The finish was harsh, short, and left a bitter aftertaste. I did not finish the 50ml bottle. I would encourage any and all to steer clear.
Nose of ethanol and wood. Mostly ethanol. Flavors are close. But there’s a slight sweet note on the first touch to the tongue. Maybe some melon. But it’s short and the alcohol harshness kills it quickly.
Pencil like nose with sweetness. Sweet oak flavor. Has a light metallic sweet oak finish that lingers.
Sharpie. Aroma is straight booze. Incredibly dry and boozy.
