Aroma - oak jumping out of the glass. Bright red fruits, vanilla and caramel. Some herbal green tea notes, hint of rye with black licorice. It’s a nice balance with moderate complexity. Taste - Oak and vanilla touch of caramel. Slight creaminess. Overall- coming off the nose, the palate leaves a lot to be desired. Palate is just way too bland, there is no finish, no body to this. Sure it is smooth, even slightly creamy but what did you expect for 90 proof. Drinks like a $25 bottle of whiskey. If I wasnt grading off of price this would be a 2.5-2.75. Probably a decent entry level bourbon for someone who doesnt bourbon. But in todays market, where $70 can land you an amazing bottle, this is one of the worst $70 bottles out there.

So I’ve been drinking but I’ll keep it short and sweet ! So the nose is sweet got some caramel and a hint of oak The palate: oak is present immediately with tons of caramel and butterscotch !honestly it’s surprisingly good and smooth! I know smooth isn’t a word to describe something however this is such a caramel and butterscotch bomb it’s anything but harsh ! Finish: sweet as hell and amazingly butterscotch that hugs you the whole way If price isn’t included this is a very rare 92!!!!! I can name on one hand the bourbons that hit the 90’s
Subtle vanilla and cinnamon on the nose with no alcohol burn. Medium thin mouth feel with a Smokey leather/oak taste. Again subtle and smooth with no burn. Finish is definitely lacking. Probably would have had more of a flavor profile if it was less diluted. Nothing offensive and would be an excellent bottle for a newer bourbon drinker. (Which explains why it is being sold exclusively at the distillery experience)
Suble easy going nose with hints of cinnamon, carmel and slight fruitiness. Palate is a little thin with your classic carmel/toffee notes along with a light earthy/ herbaceous layer. No unique characteristics jump out and the body is definitely lighter. So many better bottles available at this price.
Im going to keep this simple! This is probably one of the most ‘smooth’ bourbons my palate has had in a long time! Im not a fan of the smooth description, but this is a bourbon I could sip on all day long. It is balanced and complex all the same!
Mixing together the EW 23 yr, single barrel, 1783, bottled-in-bond, and signature black together into one delicious product. Lots of oak at first, then vanilla and caramel. Strong finish. Only available at the Evan Williams gift shop.
