Bought a bottle to soak some cherries in for a treat. Decided to try some, neat as usual. Not so much aroma, slight chemical taste, VERY warm going down and as it hits bottom! Not meant as a sipper, thought id try anyway. Not again...
You know what you're getting into when you get this. The clerk said "you guys are in for a warm night" so if that's any sign then you know. It's definitely something you don't take shots with. You gotta mix this.
This is the version that most states can get. Do not drink this without a mixer or diluting. It tastes like rubbing alcohol. Can make hand sanitizer out of it or some homemade liquers with it.
I give it a 1.5 , 0 for drinking and a 3 for usefulness because in many states 190 is no longer permitted to be sold. If you live in a state where 190 is allowed usefulness goes to 5.
This has the smell of rubbing alcohol but surprisingly doesn't burn like you might think. It's clean, upfront, and something you drink with to get drunk, not to enjoy for the taste.
Only use for infusions if you attempt to make your own liqueurs, which it works great for. I wouldn't dream of drinking it straight, yeugh.
