Expresiones del Corazón is an annual series of tequila produced at Casa San Matias Distillery in Los Altos de Jalisco, Mexico with reposados and añejos matured in barrels from Buffalo Trace. For the first time in the series, a reposado was matured for 12 months in barrels that once held Elmer T. Lee bourbon. It is bottled at 80 proof and available in limited quantities as of December, 2021.

Very light on the nose. No tequila hint at all. Rich fruity nose with slight oakiness. Initial palate was this was a very fine light whiskey, very sweet almost like a chardonnay but finishes with the true agave flavor.
