The Faber brand is a Pennsylvania distillery making gin, vodka, and rum. I am unsure of its availability outside of Pennsylvania, but as a local it is available everywhere. Nose is heavy juniper with a touch of sharpness and orange sherbet. Taste is juniper, orange and lemon citrus, a touch of bitterness, some up front heat and a lingering sweet juniper finish. The sweetness is likely due to the use of corn spirit as the base. Overall this is a decent supper although it shines in cocktails. Most expensive gins with more creative and subtle flavors are lost in cocktails or are prone to off notes. Faber’s Gin is an affordable classic that behaves like a classic gin in all cocktails.
