About this bottle

Familia Camarena Añejo is a 100% blue agave tequila distilled by the Camarena family who have been planting and harvesting agave in the Jalisco Highlands (Los Altos) since 1860. The piñas are slow roasted in traditional stone ovens for several days before the juices are fermented and distilled. The Añejo aged for a year in repurposed bourbon barrels.

Ratings on the one run the gamut. But I found it to be pretty average. Cant find many things to be critical about while nothing really stands out. Vanilla on the nose and palate. Its very sweet. Some pine. Custard. No oak is noticable but mild Slight caramel and finishes on vanilla and some pecan. Theres no burn, and its easy to drink. Worth it for the price

OmegaDoom 4.0

Rich smokey agave & oak nose, rich smokey agave body, sweet & smooth, gently citrus hints of lemon & lime, smokey & oak, a smooth silky clingy mouthfeel, w/ a gentle citrusy smokey finish.

ACE4BOOZE 4.3

Wow, what a great tasting tequila! Smooth, whether it's served on the rocks, straight up, or as a mixer.
