Full of body and spice. It's fascinating to taste a fernet that is so full of terroir. Smelling it is lightly smokey, earthy, spicy, and full of cardamom. It has a lingering taste of light menthol that is very pleasing and doesn't overstay it's welcome. Although it's oily at first taste, it wears off quickly. That said, if you aren't a fan of fernet, I would not get this bottle.
Fernet-Vallet
About this bottle
Henri Vallet emigrated from France to Mexico in the mid-1800s, where he then began making a variety of liqueurs unusual to the region, including this 35% ABV fernet. The amalgam of highly aromatic spices, roots and leaves is still made in accordance with Vallet’s original 19th century recipe. The bottle of the aperitivo suggests it can be used in cocktails and in cooking.

Bitter and woodsy, with prunes on the nose. A surprising lack of finish, but nice burnt undertones on the palate while drinking it.
mind-blowing, creamy, floral, earthy, subtle and lightly bitter.
