Fernweh Straight Bourbon

Pleasant sipper. Slight fruit on the nose, maybe apple? No overpowering note on the tongue, but rather smoke, oak and baking spice intertwined. No legs to speak of, but mouthfeel isn’t thin. A short, but sweet finish. Very enjoyable.

When i tasted at the distillery it came across as peppery. Retasting several times at home i mostly get a musty taste that reminds me of a dusty barn. Not my favorite but ive had worse

Young but it doesn’t have the burn of a young whiskey. Good even flavor despite the light color
