Nose: such a rich and full nose. Probably the richest I’ve smelled ever. Starburst comes to mind. So fruity and strong. Just based off the nose Id give a 5/5. Nose after a few sips shows a bunch of oak now. Palate: lots of spice. Lots and lots of spice. Very woody as well. Palate isn’t as strong as I expected based off the nose. Second sip is not as spicy. So a bit more fruit shines through. Note that the first sip was my very first sip of whiskey tonight so obviously after my mouth was coated it wasn’t as potent. Finish: incredibly long finish. The spice lingers on and on and on. Second sip, still a very long finish with good balance this time. Overall: JAX (ATL, GA) store pick. Not sure of the age but it’s 114.2 proof. I guess it’s a wheated bourbon as well? Which is cool to know. I think it’s a solid bourbon with what seems like a lot of aging behind it, whether it’s from the Georgia heartwood or actually from aging. A gift from the brother-in-law for Christmas and a very solid present I think. Color is also beautiful btw. Would like to let it open up for a while before trying again.

My first ASW bottle, as a Georgia transplant for 11 years now... a lot ridding on this. Westside Beverage barrel pick - pick 57.7% - a "wheater" Very faint on the nose, until you dive in then it "stings the nostrils" but a creamy cheese cake (w/ graham cracker crust!!!) and a mandarin orange compote, secondary notes are cinnamon / nutmeg. The note that stands out on the taste is cashews; not overwhelming but definitely unique. "Fluffy whip marshmallow that rapidly morphs into spice spice spice. The sides of my mouth become quenched with the almost sour / citrus fruit note; tying in the compote nose. Medium finish is all boozy-chocolate milk - not milk chocolate ;) Overall, very unique experience at a reasonable price. The high proof helps stretch this dollar to (almost) be a must buy. 5.0 - go out and buy all of the stock you can find. 4.0 - must buy at least one bottle before you die. 3.0 - solid, must try at a bar, or mooch from a friend. 2.0 - didn't like it, you may. 1.0 - you may have the palate of my dog, and he licks his own ass.

ABV - 58.6% NEAT NOSE - Pretty oaky on the nose with supporting notes of maple, brown sugar, and caramel. PALATE - Mouth coating, viscous mouthfeel. The notes from the nose transfer over to the palate with the oak coming through first and one of the other notes coming in on the back end. Every time I have a sip, a different note seems to shine through. FINISH - Medium with a sweet oak. No bite and not a strong ethanol burn which makes this very pleasant. BUY? - Yes. BUY AGAIN? - Yes. I love supporting craft distilleries and when their juice is as good as this one, it makes me want to continue to venture out more. The state of GA is putting out some good stuff!

NOSE - Sticky caramel. Super thick maple syrup. Oak, leather and a cheesy funk. But cheesy in a good way. Barrel Spice. PALATE - Super sticky sweet oaky cinnamony goodness. Cant have too much of this, really coats your mouth and throat. Spiced candy. FINISH - Barrel spice and cinnamon. A little on the harsher side but pleasant.

Wheaty, sweet, rich velvetiness with a tinge of oak bite at the end. Subtle sour apple or grapefruit note here and there though very fleeting. Great sipping whiskey for wheated whiskey lovers. Great on the rocks albeit the loss of some complexity. Tastes way better than it smells.

Caramel and butterscotch on the nose. HOT. raisins and cinnamon on the palette Complex for a young whiskey and opens up over time developing a peaty aftertaste Someone put a lot of love into this one but it just isn't for me
