Hits hard with a harsh alcohol flavor and a rough nose that stings with ethanol, masking subtler notes. It’s not overly sweet, but the abrasive burn dominates, making it a challenging sip. Better suited for cocktails than sipping neat. It's bold, but its character is a bit unbalanced.
Smells and tastes like a basket of fruits. Strong apple and berry notes. Slight honey with deep caramel. As expected, with this being a wheat, even with the high proof, it's sweet. It would he hard to guess the proof. The finish has some dark oak notes to give it a bit more diversity.
Alcohol overpowering and complexity that may be present; flatter, mellow profile void of complexity; heavy on wheat and less rye; 4 grain mash sourced from local farms in Shenandoah Valley, Virginia.
Vanilla and baking spices on the nose. Brown sugar, pecans on the palate. Finish is spicy and long with a hint of apple on the back end.
Store pick. This one is 58% ABV. Heavy rye note with a sweet cherry finish. Also get notes of Blubbery and bread. Decent bottle.
