I had read many positive opinions before I bought it and in that context, I’m disappointed. It’s actually a nice daily dram offering soft smoke with a scent of rubber and short finish, however there are better whiskies in comparable price. Finlaggan is worth trying if you can buy it at discount price.

The nose on this one was weird. Quite artificial and mildly acetone. The palate was better, intense smoke and mild port. Still the aftertaste also had an artificial bent to it. 3.25 I'll rate it. It's around the usd $60 mark here.
On the nose peat, medicinal, herbal, very similar to Caol Ila. On the palate sweet wine port, a little dry, red fruits and vanilla. Easy to drink. Medium finish.
Strong taste, not smoky at all Much better with a bit of water- releases the smokiness
Tastes much better with a few drop of water
Torf, nawet przyjemny, ale taki zwykły
