About this bottle

Flecha Azul is a 100% blue weber agave tequila brand founded by Mexican pro golfer Abraham Ancer and entrepreneur Aron Marquez. In 2022, actor/producer Mark Wahlberg joined the team as its principal investor. Made in Jalisco, Mexico, ripe agaves are cooked in brick ovens and fermented for 72 hours. Then the fermented juice is double distilled and for the anejo tequila is aged in American oak ex-bourbon barrels for 18 months before bottling.

The anejo is American whiskey aged for 18 months. Full bodied and rich in mahogany color, we can discern a strong presence of oak and whiskey. Highly recommended for whiskey enthusiasts that want to segway into tequila. Bold aromas of oak, spice, vanilla, and charcoal. With almost no agave on the nose. These flavors follow suit with a strong presence of vanilla and oak. Hints of dried fruits and nuts, with a strong spicy finish that lingers and warms the chest cavity. I rated this low due to the almost non-existent agave component.
