The reposado rests in used American whiskey barrels for 6 months. A strong base from the Blanco delivers slight aromas of agave, pepper, and fruits. The whiskey oaking is robust with aromas of oak, spices, and honey. These aromas are followed by strong oak and spices on the palate with lingering flashes of agave. The hint of honey is present on the finish with lingering notes of oak and spice as well. Not confirmed additive free.
About this bottle
Flecha Azul is a 100% blue weber agave tequila brand founded by Mexican pro golfer Abraham Ancer and entrepreneur Aron Marquez. In 2022, actor/producer Mark Wahlberg joined the team as its principal investor. Made in Jalisco, Mexico, ripe agaves are cooked in brick ovens and fermented for 72 hours. Then the fermented juice is double distilled and for the reposado tequila is then aged in American oak ex-bourbon barrels for six months before bottling.

A bit disappointing, given the price point. On the palate, this tequila tastes somewhat flat. Not much of a finish. It’s fine in a standard margarita, but recommended at its price.
Slightly oaky, fruity, very slightly vegetal.
Subtle smoke, fruity
