About this bottle
This is the first release for the grain-to-glass bourbon brand. Master Distiller Marianne Eaves has partnered with Forbidden's South Carolina-based founders and she crafted this release at Kentucky's Bardstown Bourbon Company where it was distilled, aged, and bottled. For this small batch bourbon, she used white corn, white winter wheat and malted barley and non-traditional low temperature fermentation. It was aged for 5 years and was bottled at 95.2 proof. Available in initially in Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia, and South Carolina beginning May 2023. (SRP $129)

Had an Eaves collab before with St Augustine distillery and was expecting more from this offering. Flavor was hot for a 95 proof and needed ice, after it settled down i got a hint of the previous Eaves flavor, but not nearly as much. The price was high for this offering and i was left disappointed.
An interesting pour for sure. Adding a couple of drops of water opens it up nicely. I slight build of heat which never gets overpowering which tapers smoothly opening up some flavors along the way. One to keep on the shelf and enjoy on those special occasions.
